FAQ

What are you currently working on?
I am in the process of editing and/or rewriting a few scripts. One is going through a significant house cleaning so it would be more streamlined, while a ten-minute play is being tweaked here and there.

There are various other ten-minute and one-act plays that are either in development or have gone through a rough draft thus far. So depending on what comes to mind first will determine what completes, if anything.

What is Quossover?
Quossover (adapted from the term “crossover”) is a series of posts that focuses on a storyline from one entertainment medium to another entertainment medium. For example, Jane Austen’s “Pride and Prejudice” originally a literary work has been adapted for musical theater, film, and television series. As thus I would review the musical theater adaptations or any other film adaptations that may occur.

Conversely for a musical theater production like Stephen Sondheim’s “Into the Woods”, I would then review the most recent film adaptation of said musical theater production.

Are you still active in the performing arts?
Onstage or backstage: The short of the long of it is, no. It has been over ten years that I have been involved in community theater and although it was a challenging and enjoyable learning process, burn out was always an inevitability.

Though most of my friends in that realm would say that I am on prolonged hiatus, I would say that more likely I have retired. Granted this is so I could focus on the written arts.

Where do you find time to travel?
Whenever possible. I have friends and relatives all over the country (let’s not even get into all those I have to visit out of country!). I try to plan one out of country trip every two or three years. Lately it has been Vietnam, but since the passing of my paternal grandparents in 2010 and 2012, my sights have turned to other continents, particularly Europe.
